I just wanted to stop by and say that I need to put the site on hiatus for a little while. I'm having some personal problems and I really feel that I need to take a break for a little and get everything back under control. "Paris Hilton was forced to get rid of some of her dogs after the Los Angeles Department of Animal Services learned that she owned 17 dogs. It is illegal for anyone in Los Angeles who is not a breeder to own more than three dogs.

The socialite admitted on a televised interview that she owned 17 dogs. Hilton has now been forced to give some of her pets away. “Some of my dogs had puppies, so I gave some of them away to people I really know and trust,” Hilton said.

Hilton admits that she is only down to 10.

• Paris Goes Gold And Naked •

"Paris Hilton is covered in gold and nothing else. The 26-year-old heiress poses nude in Berlin for a photo shoot for a sparkling wine.

Hilton has launched an initiative to bring drinking water to drought-damaged regions with the help of RICH Prosecco canned sparkling wines. For each can sold, she will donate to the RICK Water Foundation.

"It is important to give back if you have been as blessed as we have," the Simple Life star told Der Spiegel magazine. "A lot of people don't realize that many people don't even have running water in their homes."

The photo shoot requires Hilton to pose naked covered only with a coat of glittering gold paint as she crawls on a desert.

The organization plans to ship icebergs to desert regions and distribute the melted ice, according to RICH founder Guenther Aloys.

• Hilton Comforts Injured Nightclub Entertainer •

"Socialite Paris Hilton rushed to the aid of a performer left injured when the crowd rushed the stage at a Miami, Fla., nightclub on Saturday.

The hotel heiress was enjoying a performance of Beacher's Comedy Madhouse during a night out at the Cameo nightclub when the incident took place.

Hilton nursed entertainer Robin Sherwood, who was wearing a "Charlie and the Chocolate Factory"-inspired Oompa-Loompa costume, until an ambulance arrived to treat his badly cut leg.

The pair knows each other because Sherwood needs a kidney transplant and Hilton is supporting a foundation to facilitate the operation.

• Sales of Britney-related eBay Items Topped Those for Paris & Lindsay in '07 •

"Users of online auction site eBay wanted more of Britney Spears than Paris Hilton this year.

The number of Spears-related items sold at the online auction site totaled 34,345, compared with 27,377 items associated with Hilton, eBay said this week.

Items associated with Spears ranged from signed CDs to disposable lighters featuring her likeness. Among the Hilton-related items sold: a toothbrush claimed to have been found in the hotel heiress' trash.

Fragrances were the most popular product category sold for Spears and Hilton.

Both fared better than Lindsay Lohan. Her name was only associated with 8,099 items sold, according to eBay.

However, the three tabloid staples were all outslugged by baseball player Barry Bonds, who was pegged to 145,497 related items, including a grilled-cheese sandwich, which netted a winning bid of $30 (€21). • Paris Would Be 'A Good Babysitter' •

Most parents-to-be wouldn't want Paris Hilton to be a role model for their child, but not Joel Madden.

The Good Charlotte frontman even went as far to say that the hotel heiress, who enjoys partying and has had a stint in prison this year, would be a "good babysitter".

"She could be like the crazy aunt. She'd be a good babysitter," he told E!

Joel also said that girlfriend Nicole, who is due in January, would do a great job.

Especially as the heiress to the Hilton hotel chain, met the Swedish tourist while he was a humble pizza delivery boy in Los Angeles.

Vaggo met the heiress while the two were partying at the same Vegas nightclub earlier this year.

• Supermodel Kerr Upset Over Paris' Dress Steal •

"Australian supermodel Miranda Kerr was left shattered at the Victoria's Secret Fashion Show when Paris Hilton "stole" her favourite outfit.

Kerr reveals Hilton showed up 10 minutes before the show opened at the Kodak Theatre in Hollywood on 15 November (07) and decided she wanted to close the catwalk show.

Organisers told her to pick an outfit and she chose a pink dress that Kerr had been allocated.

• Hilton Denies Leaking Richie Baby Shower Photos •

"Paris Hilton has denied leaking photographs of her friend Nicole Richie's recent baby shower party to the media.

The hotel heiress was a hostess at the November 18 "Wizard of Oz"-themed event, held at Richie and her boyfriend Joel Madden's Beverly Hills, Calif., home.

Early last week, several tabloids were offered photos of the party, but none could print the pictures because deadlines had been pushed forward due to the Thanksgiving holiday.

But some suspected Hilton of leaking the images, because she was in each one and they looked "set up" -- a charge Hilton denies.

"Paris Hilton reportedly refused to pay for hair extensions last week because she was shocked the salon dared to ask her to pay the full amount.

The socialite had Dreamcatchers hair extensions attached, to give her a long, lop-sided fringe, at The Salon in the Beverly Hills Hotel but according to the Sun, she was shocked when she was presented with the bill for $1400.

A salon source told the newspaper that Paris had recently promoted the brand so expected to get them for free: “We just didn’t know where to look.”

“Paris was telling the staff that she was their muse and that there was no way she was paying full price.”

• 'The Hills' Too Classy For Paris Hilton •

"Amidst rumours that "The Hills" is fake, producers are holding onto their last shred of dignity by refusing to let Paris Hilton appear on the show.

Crew members of the show were reportedly overheard discussing Hilton's attempts to land a role, saying that the producers felt it would be "pushing the limits" of believability.

It's not really that much of a stretch, though. Nicole Ritchie, Paris' re-instated BFF, has been seen out on the town with "Hills" stars Lauren Conrad and Audrina Partridge.

The producers may have their noses raised over Hilton, but they are apparently not above casting people in key roles of Heidi Montag and Spencer Pratt's upcoming wedding.

"Hallmark has responded to Paris Hilton's lawsuit claiming they used her image to sell cards with a motion to dismiss, TMZ reported on Thursday.

The motion says, "Hilton has become a household name, based in large part on her efforts to draw attention to herself. Having done so, she has subjected herself to public scrutiny and the parodist's pen. The First Amendment does not allow her to respond by welcoming the fawning and flattering, but silencing the critical and comical."
